For Mandy Mozart the pandemic was spent inside a gigantic computer monastery.

Coding tools and platforms for ordering tractors via webshop, jam sessions, exhibitions, conventions, leisure, fitness, after hour beer, food ordering and even turning game gold into currency — It was the euphoria of a cyberpunk novel come to life. 

They were obsessed with preserving and nourishing what felt like Silicon Valleys’ holy scriptures, the Davinci code of a new religion in the making. 

Remember “The Name of the Rose” by Umberto Eco? Like Sean Connery as William of Baskerville, Mandy Mozart had Buddha’s great faith and great doubt in the realness of Platon’s cave which the www appears to be.

Mandy Mozart is touring as a pope-like figure singing songs on the Flixbus network, a metaphor for the modern age mule. Their resonant baritone poetry and auto tuned lullabies tell stories of a person’s personal doubting and reassuring gospel for the digital age over an epic soundtrack made of synth and abstract choir arrangements.

The program, consisting of singer songwriter concert, performance and sound art is approximately 50 minutes long and requires as little as a stereo system in a living room or boom box in a park to work, but scales nicely to warehouse raves, opera houses, server farms and cathedrals. 

Donations, food and accommodations in the form of couches are appreciated in any amount you may spare.
